The Setting
La Maison de Campagne is nestled in rural Kilvaxter, a traditional Gaelic community steeped in history in the township of Kilmuir. A stones throw away from the world renowned Quiraing.
The self catering apartment is part of an extended croft house dating back to 1850. Ideally situated on the west coast of the Trotternish peninsula, north Skye, overlooking the Outer Hebrides. Set in a countryside environment twenty miles away from the hustle of Portree. We're surrounded by croft fields, full of animals, wildlife and historic ruins.

Wake up to the sunrise across the surrounding countryside. All bedrooms are east facing with Velux windows so be prepared for spectacular sunrises across the hills and fields.
From the garden look across the sea to the Isle of Lewis and the Waternish peninsula. Enjoy amazing sunsets across the sea.

A few miles away is the photographic Quiraing, the most northern summit of the Trotternish ridge with views of spectacular mountainous hilldrops and pinnacles.
Facilities
La Maison de Campagne can accommodate up to four people plus one infant in a cot. There is one double bedroom (with small double bed) and an ensuite shower room, one twin bedroom (with two standard single beds), upstairs sitting area, kitchen/diner and family bathroom. The apartment is fully furrnished retaining original features of the croft house with modern luxury. Guests have free parking, a private entrance and wifi throughout.

Bedrooms are cosy with all modern comforts including Smart TV's, chest of drawers, clothes rail and bedside tables. All bedroom windows have blackout blinds. The apartment is fully equipped with towels, linens, extra blankets etc. Please note the bed in the double room is a small double.
*Please note that upstairs rooms have original sloped ceilings so please mind your head.

The recently refurbished kitchen has a full cooking hob and electric oven, fridge with icebox, dining table, sofa, armchair, Smart TV, washing machine with dryer. A selection of tea, coffee and biscuits is available. We also provide washing detergent, cleaning products, salt and pepper.
The family bathroom downstairs has a thermostatic shower, bath, washbasin, toilet and heated towel rail. Fully equiped with shower gel or soap, shampoo, hand soap, eqyptian cotten towels and hairdryer. The ensuite shower room has a quadrant shower, toilet, and washbasin with shaving light/socket and toiletries.
Between the two bedrooms is an upstairs sitting area, where you can relax in the evenings. A guide to the apartment and local area can be found in the downstairs hallway along with maps, leaflets and guide books.
Heating in the apartment provided via wall-mounted electric heaters in every room, each have a thermonstat and push button controls. Heaters can be turned on for a maximum of two hours, once this lapses they can be turned on again. Laundry facilties include a washer/dryer, clothes airer, iron and ironing board.
